The mechanics
The "Visit" buttons on our comparison carry tracking parameters that tell the operator a visitor arrived from Clear Reel Guide. If that visitor opens an account, the operator may pay us a fee — typically per registration, occasionally per click depending on the agreement. The commission comes out of the operator's marketing budget. It is not added to anything you deposit, it does not change the odds or terms you receive, and choosing to type the operator's address into your browser instead costs us the commission and costs you nothing either way.
What commission can and cannot influence
Honesty requires the first half of this sentence as much as the second: commercial relationships can affect which operators appear on our shortlist, because reviewing a site with which no relationship is possible earns nothing and the desk has finite hours. What they cannot affect is the content of a review — the seven criteria, the licence verification and the score are applied identically to every operator, and the editorial policy describes the wall in detail. If a score ever moved for money, this entire site's only asset — being worth trusting — would be gone.
What never happens here
No money passes through this site in either direction between you and an operator. We take no deposits, process no withdrawals, hold no balances and pay no winnings. Any gambling you do happens on the operator's site, under the operator's terms, within the operator's UKGC licence — and any dispute belongs with the operator and its ADR provider, as the FAQ explains. We also never present a link as something it isn't: a button labelled "Visit Midnite" goes to midnite.com, with our tracking parameters attached and nothing else in between.
